Here's how we might do it here: Tucker Carlson asked Donald Trump this week "Are you worried that they’re going to try and kill you?" Trump replied, “They’re savage animals. They’re people that are sick."
In 2017 in New York City a Shakespeare in the Park production featured the stabbing of a Trump look-alike just days before "comedian" Kathy Griffin came under fire over a photo of her holding a severed head resembling the President.
Important people are talking today, and that's the point: Why?
Dan Bongino, former Secret Service agent: “Having protected both Democrats and Republicans, protectees and presidents, right? I’m telling you, this guy’s in real danger,” said Bongino, who served in the Secret Service from 1999 — the tail end of the Bill Clinton presidency — to 2011, the early years of Barack Obama’s tenure.
The New Neo, a lawyer, responding to a commenter on her blog who suggested assassination might happen, writes: "I don’t think a Trump assassination would be in the cards – unless it’s by a free-lancer – although I would suggest nevertheless that Trump be careful about who prepares his food."
Blogger Ann Althouse, a law professor, observes:
This is something that I've thought about but avoided ever saying, and I've even deleted comments that bring this up, because I'm afraid of stimulating deranged thinking, but Carlson brought it up so conspicuously that my restraint serves no purpose. But Trump avoids a direct response. I suspect he didn't appreciate Carlson's floating the idea of assassination.
There are sick people out there, and of course, it's been the case all along that he's a target for assassination. He must go on and leave the worrying, as ever, to the Secret Service, I presume, but he doesn't say that.

Last year former NYPD commissioner Bernard Kerik said he is worried that Democrats might try to assassinate Trump. "I was in Washington D.C. I was at a couple of different social events, and I hear people talking, they said the Democrats want this guy so bad that they wouldn’t put assassination behind it."
Now we have Robert Kennedy Jr., who is running for President, saying that the CIA was responsible for the assassination of his uncle, President John Kennedy. "It was my father's first instinct that the agency had killed his brother." Kennedy's father was also assassinated.
And there's this: the Biden Administration refused to give Robert Kennedy Jr. Secret Service protection.
