This is just fun: Some 1,800 "disease detectives" employed by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) descended on an Atlanta hotel for a big conference. All were apparently vaccinated. About 70 didn't wear masks. And, at last count, 181 came down with covid.Meanwhile in Washington: The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has spent $1 billion to study long covid, and "there's basically nothing to show for it,” according to a review. Maybe you should meet in Atlanta.
More fun at the FDA: Back in April of 2021, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the CDC determined that the recommended pause in the use of the Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) COVID-19 Vaccine should be lifted and use of the vaccine should resume. Then in May 2022, the FDA strictly limited who can receive Johnson & Johnson's COVID-19 vaccine due to the ongoing risk of rare but serious blood clots. Oops.
Oh, Deborah. We all know that Fauci lied, and people died. But what about his scarf-draped collegue, Deborah Birx? In her self-congratulatory book last year, she wrote: "This wasn’t the only bit of subterfuge I had to engage in. ... We weren’t being transparent with the powers that be in the White House." Oh Deb.
But wait! Uncle Joe has appointed a new CDC director, Mandy Cohen, who has heartily supported every authoritarian measure that the last three years have proven useless.
