Little Tony Fauci: Follow the money

Anthony "Little Tony" Fauci, who assumes the authority to tell you how to live your life, lives his fairly well.

He earns $434,312 a year, and is the highest paid bureaucrat, earning more than the President. His wife earns another $176,000 as an employee of the National Institutes of Health, where her husband works. Together, they are worth at least $10 million.

We know all this only because Roger Marshall, M.D., a Republican senator who grilled Fauci over his financial disclosures -- leading a frustrated Fauci to call him under his breath a 'moron' -- published the public health expert's financial records. 'Dr. Fauci was completely dishonest about his disclosures being readily accessible to the public which is why I am releasing them now,' Marshall tweeted.

Now we're learning that Fauci received at least 23 royalty payments from pharmaceutical and other compnies. Undisclosed royalty payments estimated at $350 million to Fauci and hundreds of NIH scientists do present “an appearance of a conflict of interest,” according to the agency’s acting director.

Ya think?

“Of course it’s a direct conflict of interest for scientists like Anthony Fauci to rake in $350 million in royalties from third-parties who benefit from federal taxpayer-funded grants," said Rep. Greg Steube (R-Fla.). "Anthony Fauci is a millionaire that has gotten rich off taxpayer dollars. He is a prime example of the bloated federal bureaucracy. This royalty system should be examined to ensure it isn’t making matters worse.”

I think I'll send Tony some socks for Father's Day.

"We live in an age in which it is no longer possible to be funny. There is nothing you can imagine, no matter how ludicrous, that will not promptly be enacted before your very eyes, probably by someone well known."
