Our dysfunctional society revealed through a holiday.

MoveOn.org Ruins Thanksgiving by Issuing Talking Points to Teach Your Family about Impeachment. The left’s war on holidays continues with left-wing MoveOn.org issuing instructions to its pink-hatted rabid resisters on how to “talk to your family about impeachment” over Thanksgiving dinner, complete with an inspirational video. They offer step-by-step instructions on how to alienate and anger everyone in your family by turning a nice dinner into a political clown show.

Universities Teach Students How To “Decolonize” Their Thanksgiving. “By taking a decolonizing approach to teaching about Thanksgiving, teachers and families reject the myths of Thanksgiving and harmful stereotypes about Native peoples,” Professor Lindsey Wieck wrote in an article for Medium in which she encouraged parents to send letters to their children’s schools to “advocate for a more inclusive approach to discussing Thanksxxgiving.”

The Horrible History of Thanksgiving. Like so much of American history, the story has had its least attractive features winnow away — white people have been centered in the narrative and all atrocity has been politely papered over.

Five Times PETA Tried to Guilt Americans Out of Eating Turkey on Thanksgiving. Every year, the activist group uses a variety of methods on social media to guilt meat-eating Americans out of enjoying a succulent and juicy Thanksgiving staple, urging them to opt for an alternative vegan option instead. This year was no exception.

And then there’s this:

That time Benjamin Franklin tried (and failed) to electrocute a turkey. “I have lately made an Experiment in Electricity that I desire never to repeat.”
